By who?

Lisää kuvateksti

I spotted it from Facebook. My friend likes it. It's published on a personal page of someone who fancied it. If you google it you can find it from several blogs. And then Creative Commons, No rights reserved. Finally a name, Kai Krause.

It's big. I know. Perspective eh.

Lucky Girl

Today back at work. What went through my office? Tears were shed and I laughed with some patients. I met nervous parents and carefree elderly. I had to listen to bitter complaints and I spotted an old friend at the waiting room.
I've wanted to be a doctor since I was ten. Don't know why. My parents aren't. But the idea of helping others was so intriguing it guided me all the way to med school. And now I'm living my dream.
Sometimes I need a reminder of how cool this profession is. How unbelievable it still feels to realize I made it.
These pics are from Nepal and the Philippines. What I learned back there was that high quality medicine is not dependent of fancy buildup, but qualified professionals.

Summer and Spring love

Beatriz Milhazes is a Brazilian artist whose works were on display in Lisbon. Three words: colours, life and joy. Love 'em! (The pics are close-ups due to some.. technical problems.)

Billie Joe

What goes on at the back of my head? Weird stuff I tell ya. When I'm stressed I never see dreams. Sleep is a necessity between to days full of to-do lists. The past two weeks were so relaxing I started dreaming in my sleep and what fun it was to report in the morning. Best one was me and Billie Joe sitting on my parents house lawn going through my collection of CDs. (1st the collection ain't much. 2nd Where the heck did he come from?!) He asked me weather the locals might recognize him. I told him they probably do but the odds of him being there are so slim they won't believe their eyes.

Crazy as it was I strarted so think where is my Dookie C-casette (not kidding, wasn't the CD era back here yet). Cause this house is a mess, I found it from the net. And why oh why did I ever stop listening to this stuff?

Gimme something to spray

Back home from well a earned holiday. Portugal was cool. Here's some of the street art I came across. Wish I could add some names.

Off I go

Tomorrow to the sun. I just decided that two pairs of Converse is chic enough to pack. Now I only need to know how to fill the rest of the suitcase. Warmth, ocean waves and lazy days is the thing I need after this never ending winter.
With CCR packing is more like a dance.

Jack is Back

Sixteen Saltines is also oh so cool song with a great video. His new record is to be released within a few weeks. Prior to that 1000 copies were set free attached to helium balloons in Nashville. Some have been found.

DIY

Late morning. Promised myself today I don't need to do a thing. It's Easter and I can relax. Two hours later had this necklace on my hands. Hama beads are so much fun.

Red Shoes

And I thought I was just buying me a nice pair of shoes. (Actually I had to fight for 'em. 3pm on Saturday, not a good idea to go shopping.)

I'm not really this pro Bono. Had no clue Converse had joined (Red). In fact I new nothing of how the system works. You buy the same products as you would anyway only some percentage goes to fund the campaign to eliminate AIDS. Some goal, but then again dreams are meant to be big, right?

Alabama Shakes

The buzz is big around them. And I am joining it for sure! They just sound so damn good.

So there are still musicians with true talent, not just money backed up mediocre.

Another Earth

What if things had gone different. What if I had not made the biggest mistake of my life. What if I could live free of this horrid quilt that won't leave me alone.

I like the style and pace of this film. I like it cause the story is not easy, characters realistic and another earth so sci-fi that it makes you wonder what inspired the writer. Sundance winner directed by Mike Cahill.

Walk on

The big yet expected news of today is good. After years in house arrest and separation from her family this strong woman is back in business and on her way to be a member of the Burma's parliament. Congratulations! We sang for you.

I hope us in the west could appreciate our democracy and fight for its future.
